Welcome

Hello and welcome to the Bedford Cat Café web site! We re-opened under new management on 30th June 2025. We continue the tradition of Bedford Cat Café, offering a relaxing atmosphere, where you can have a hot drink, freshly prepared food and enjoy a cuddle from one of our lovely cats. We are open every day (except some Mondays in Spring) and have a greater variety of hot food on offer.

All of the cats in our care are rescued by our partners, Peterbourgh Cat Rescue. Some of our cats are disabled and have additional needs, so by working with the rescue, we can provide homes to cats that desperately need them.

We recommend booking at weekends and in school holidays as we cannot always accommodate walk-ins at busy times.

Meet the Cats

Mouse

Mouse is loud, proud, and firmly in charge. With her funky
tongue, she’s never shy about speaking her mind. A devoted
lap-sitter with a soft side, she rarely scratches or bites (one
tooth only goes so far), but she’ll definitely let you know if
she’s unimpressed.

Radish

Radish is a fluffy white cloud with a calm, old-soul vibe. He
keeps to himself, enjoys a fuss when it’s offered and can usually be found snoozing by the window on a pillow, soaking up the sun. Partly deaf but fully sweet, he’s a very good boy.

Kitty Donut

Kitty-Donut is a toothless Persian with a permanently grumpy face and a secretly sweet heart. She’s very refined, enjoys fusses on her own terms and isn’t afraid to give a warning scratch if those terms aren’t respected. Elegant, moody, and adorable.

Bumble

Bumble is pure orange cat energy: fast, mischievous and
always up to something. With his adorable wonky head and
one deaf ear, he’s still endlessly playful and full of life. He loves a game (sometimes a bit too much) and can scratch or bite if play gets rough. Best friends with Lando and proud bringer of chaos.

Willow

Willow lives for chaos and must be involved in all the drama. A tailless Manx diva by birth, she’s mischievous, bold and absolutely unapologetic. She adores humans, loves table-hopping, and will glue herself to your lap
for intense cuddles: claws included. Very loving, very vocal, very sharp,very Willow.

Utange

Utange is our three-legged charmer with an endless appetite
and a talent for milking sympathy. Always on the lookout for treats, he makes up for it by being an absolute angel. Belly rubs welcome and sweetness guaranteed.

Waffle

Waffle is a chunky little munchkin with a stunningly soft, shiny coat and a true glow-up story. Once a scrappy barn cat, now a beautiful angel, she mostly keeps to herself but may occasionally bless a lap with her presence. Cross her boundaries though, and she won’t hesitate to tell you off.

Oona

Oona prefers life from a high shelf, a princess, ruling from
afar. Independent and elegant, she’ll only accept pets when she decides it’s time and if you approach uninvited, she won’t hesitate to give a royal smack.

Lando

Lando is the biggest boy with the biggest heart. A chatty
Norwegian Forest Cat who lives for cuddles, pets, and belly
rubs, he’ll happily obsess over you at every opportunity. Friendly, joyful, and endlessly affectionate, a true cuddle
bug.

Ziggy

Ziggy is a sleek little black cat, skinny, agile, and gentle by
nature. She loves pets and lap time, shows her affection
quietly, and enjoys curling up for naps on a shelf. Calm, sweet,
and rarely bothered, she’s a little angel.

Boo

Boo prefers the high life, usually found perched on his cat tree observing from afar. He’s a big, beautiful boy with a glossy black-and-brown coat, one distinctive floppy ear and very clear rules: head and chin pets only. Venture any lower and you’ll be met with a grumble. Quiet, reserved, and happiest keeping to himself.
